Nancy Liebermann

Secretary

Ms. Nancy Liebermann is the President of Cornerstone, Inc., a nonprofit organization that finances affordable housing for persons with serious and persistent mental illness in the District of Columbia.  Ms. Liebermann is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Cornerstone, including all financing, grant writing, relationships with the community, project feasibility, and oversight of all committees including Project Review and Executive Committees.
 
Ms. Liebermann is also an attorney specializing in zoning, land use, housing development, and real estate in the District of Columbia.  She was a board member for the National Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty from 1999-2001 and the Co-chair for the Commission on Mental Health Services Housing/Residential Services Task Force from 1998-1999.  Ms. Liebermann also attended McAuley Institute Transformational Leadership Training in the spring of 1999 and was a member of 10th Year Leadership Washington Class from 1995-1996.

 

Prior to becoming President of Cornerstone, Inc., Ms. Liebermann was employed with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, the National Association of Home Builders and Linowes and Blocher.

 

Ms. Liebermann received her BA from the University of Michigan where she majored in Political Science and minored in Spanish.  She received her JD from Columbus School of Law, Catholic University.  She lives in Montgomery County, Maryland with her husband and two daughters.
