5th Annual NPower Technology Innovation Awards Now Accepting Submissions

WASHINGTON, DC; April 15, 2009 – NPower Greater DC Region, a nonprofit technology consulting firm serving other nonprofits and foundations, is now accepting online applications for the 2009 Technology Innovation Awards, presented by Accenture.

The Awards will recognize two nonprofits in the Greater DC area whose innovative use of technology enables them to more effectively fulfill their missions. Winners will each receive a free NPower Technology Assessment and Microsoft software. Interested local nonprofits can apply by completing the online application at www.npowergdcr.org/tia. The deadline for submitting an application is June 12th.

NPower Greater DC Region will host two free webinars for prospective applicants to provide additional information about the Award and tips on how to write a strong application.

Award applications will be judged by Accenture and a panel of judges, made up of senior information technology professionals, from the local business community and leading government agencies. Judges will be from Capital One, Microsoft, Washington Post, XO Communications, and more. The finalists will have an opportunity to make a live presentation to the panel.
