TJ Rainsford

TJ Rainsford has over 12 years of experience in information technology primarily with nonprofit organizations in the Washington, DC area. TJ is the quintessential “jack of all trades” having served in a variety of different IT roles from network administration and engineering to CIO/CTO level consultant. His particular focus currently is information and knowledge management as well as IT operations management.

TJ holds a MA in History from Shippensburg University and BA from Mount Saint Mary’s College (now University) with a double major of History and Philosophy. He has also returned to the Mount recently as an adjunct professor of History in his free time. And he is more than happy to explain why a historian is ideally suited to being a technologist.

TJ lives with his wife Lisa and their beagle Brenn in Rockville, MD. When not busy working or teaching, you will most likely find him in the kitchen concocting a new dish or perfecting some classics.
