Must be a 501(c)3 charitable organization (as defined by the Internal Revenue Service), other than: churches or organizations whose primary mission is to promote a religion; private school, colleges or universities; nonprofit hospitals or cooperative hospital service organizations; governmental units.
Must have an annual operating budget in the current or most recent fiscal year greater than $500,000.
Must demonstrate fiscal responsibility, which is defined by adherence to generally accepted accounting standards.
Must be inclusive and embrace diversity; does not discriminate in service delivery and employment on any basis including ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or religion.
Must be based or have a chapter in the Washington Metropolitan area which is defined as the District of Columbia, suburban Maryland or suburban Virginia.
The technology innovation described in this application must have been implemented within the past 12-18 months.
