Technology Consulting Manager

Do you have excellent tech skills and the ability to manage IT projects? 

Keep them on schedule and within budget?

 

NPower Greater DC Region, a nonprofit affiliate of a national organization that provides technology assistance to nonprofits, has an opening for a Technology Consulting Manager with 5+ years of IT management experience.

 

General Qualifications

  • Strong 'bottom-line' project management skills;
  • Excellent people management skills;
  • Effective oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to manage customer expectations; and
  • Passion for supporting the missions and objectives of nonprofit organizations.

Requirements

  • Strong Network and Infrastructure support skills including NT, W2000, W2003;
  • Excellent Desktop Management skills; desktops including NT, W2000, and WXP;
  • Basic knowledge of firewall solutions, both software and hardware; Cisco and other certifications are a plus;
  • Experience designing and implementing Multi-Domain Networks, including design of AD structures;
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities, including working with clients to diagnose and resolve problems;
  • Strong support and administration skills for Exchange 2000, Exchange 2003;
  • Experience with Funding Raising or CRM systems, especially Salesforce, is a plus;
  • Work directly with nonprofits to articulate and document their use of technology (both hardware and software applications);
  • Analyze, validate, and specify the technology and operational needs of the nonprofit through interviews, workflow analysis, operations review and any other relevant activities;
  • Document these needs in formats, including text, diagrams and workflow illustrations; and
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
