Join us at the Nonprofit Technology Conference

On April 4 - 6, NTEN is hosting its annual Nonprofit Technology Conference (NTC07) here in DC. More than 1,000 people will come together to connect with colleagues, learn about the issues, and share information about how to best use technology in the nonprofit sector.

NPower Greater DC Region is participating in two breakout sessions:

Orysia Stanchak, NPower board member, will participate in a session for Executive Directors called:
You Don't Need to Know Everything (About Technology), Just What to Ask.

Tim Johnston, NPower Chief Technology Officer, will moderate: Disaster Recovery.

Who said there’s no such thing as a FREE LUNCH?

Want to get the right software for your business needs?

It’s tempting to rush a purchase when you’re struggling with poor or nonexistent software and doing lots of manual work. But you also want to make sure that what you’re running to will be better than what you’re running from.

Your chances for success improve if you gather a list of needs—the “requirements,” from the users who will support the software. This will help to ensure that everyone understands what software is best.

    Our Requirements Checklist can help!

A recent report from key NPower sponsor, Accenture, identifies “Making better use of technology' as an overlooked but critical element of nonprofit success. IT is the backbone of the modern enterprise, and nonprofits seeking to maximize the use of their scarce resources must judiciously apply IT to their operations – whether it is in support of fundraising, donor relations, finance, or finance and administration.” Read the full report.
