NPower Greater DC Region has teamed with Accenture to present the
Technology Innovation Award. The award will honor nonprofits in the metro
Washington, DC area whose innovative use of technology has helped improve
key aspects of their operations and more effectively fulfill their
missions. Among the applications submitted, three finalist will be
selected. The winning nonprofit will receive $10,000 worth of technology
consulting services provided by NPower along with free Microsoft software
valued at $25,000. In addition, two other finalists will each receive
$5,000 in NPower Services and $10,000 in Microsoft software.
A Technology Advisory Council made up of Senior Technology Executives
from ASAE, Accenture, AOL, Capital One, Council on Foundations, Microsoft,
United Way of America, University of Maryland, Washington Business
Journal, Washingtonpost.com and XM Satellite Radio will select the
winners. The deadline for submitting an application is September 16, 2005
and the finalist will be selected in early October 2005. Please visit our

NPower NY Wins National Award! |
 |
| NPower affiliate NPower NY was named one of the grand prize
winners in the National Business Plan Competition for Nonprofit
Organizations sponsored by Yale School of Management - The Goldman
Sachs Foundation Partnership on Nonprofit Ventures. Over 500
nonprofit organizations applied for the award. NPower NY's proposal
focused on NPower Basic, an affordable package of hardware, software
and technical support services for nonprofits, which is currently in
the pilot stage.

| CreateAThon(tm) is a 24-hour design blitz providing
nonprofits with pro bono graphic design services. Mediastudio
recently announced a call for entries for nonprofits based in the
Washington, DC metropolitan area that urgently need graphic design
services but can't afford to pay for them. The deadline for
submitting applications is August 3, 2005 and winners will be
selected in early September.
