2010 Technology Innovation Awards, presented by Accenture

NPower Greater DC Region and Accenture are again partnering to present the 6th annual Technology Innovation Awards (TIA) to nonprofits in the Greater DC area whose innovative use of technology enables them to more effectively fulfill their missions.

Applications from area nonprofits are now closed. They were accepted from April 15, 2010 through June 11, 2010. Award applications will be judged by a panel of judges from the local business community, including Clark Construction, Corporate Executive Board, Fannie Mae, Marriott, Pepco, and more! The finalists will have an opportunity to make a live presentation to the panel.

Applications are  divided and judged based on each nonprofit’s annual operating budget category. Specifically, judges will choose:

  • One (1) winner with an annual operating budget of $500,000 - $2,000,000; and
  • One (1) winner with an annual operating budget of over $2,000,000.

Organizations that submitted applications in prior years are eligible to apply.

Finalists will be selected in September 2010 and are invited to deliver a live presentation to the Technology Innovation Awards Judging Panel. The winners will be announced at the Technology Awards Luncheon on November 4, 2010.

Two winning nonprofits will each receive an NPower technology assessment that includes a survey of the state of your organization’s technology including your hardware, software, connectivity, security policies, and level of staff technology. We will then provide you a written summary with specific recommendations for improvement. The presenting sponsor, Accenture, is underwriting NPower’s consulting services. Winners will also receive either an Apple iPad or a Dell laptop, as well as Microsoft software through NPower Great DC Region's affiliation with the Microsoft NPower Network. The software delivery is administered by TechSoup and includes Windows and Office products.
